His laugh

I remember the first time I ever met Zeek, we were in fourth grade at cypress elementary. I believe we were in Mr Walkers class at the time. By that point in elementary school everyone had their core group of buddies everyone hung out with. But for Zeek coming in knowing basically no one, he just shimmied his way into every friend group in the school. Everyone not only began to know him but we began to love him. I will to this day always remember when we would be talking in class and mr walker would yell at both of us. However zeek would take the heat of it all for me because he didn’t want me to get in trouble. He would have to go sit in the back corner next to the GIANT cardboard pencils. One time he and I were laughing so hard after he got in trouble he actually knocked the giant pencil over. Oh man that laugh of his was contagious. If I think about it I can still hear it so vividly, it’s amazing. After elementary school, we didn’t talk much, we all kind of out grew eachother but we always stayed friendly. And that’s what i valued most. We’d see eachother in passing and he’d always- with a big smile- come give me a hug and want to hear about how i’m doing. I would do the same. My memories of us will be cherish much deeper than they were before. My prayers and love go out to you all. God Bless
